The water level in Mopti peaked on September 21 (628 cm), decreased by 5 cm between 21 and 27 September, from 628 to 623 cm, but then rose again 10 cm to reach a level of 633 cm on 8 October and decreased 3 cm thereafter during the last four days. The water level in Mopti has now been at about the same level for 22 days, between 627 cm and 633 cm. If the water were to increase again, it will most likely be only a few cm. However, it is more likely that the water level will now gradually fall and that this year the maximum water level in Mopti (633 cm) has already been reached on 8 October. The maximal flooding is this year about as high as in 2019.
